In 2006, hotels along Century Blvd. outside of Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) were mainly nonunion. Local 11’s airport campaign involved widespread participation from communities near the airport, politicians, and other who supported hotel workers’ right to organize. This image captures the opening moments of the march eastward on Century Blvd.
